Short Story
The University of Cape Town Cricket Club is proud to be Playing for a Purpose as we raise support for sport4kids. Every wicket this season will help provide sports kit and equipment to children who need it most. sport4kids makes a real impact by raising funds, purchasing kit, and collecting quality second-hand gear to distribute to underprivileged schools, clubs, and individuals.
As we compete in the Western Province Cricket leagues and at the Intervarsity USSA Week, we invite you to join us in changing lives through sport. Together, let’s reach our goal of raising R50 000 and help more children experience the joy, opportunity, and confidence that sport brings.
Please join us in changing lives through cricket and make once off donations, pledge per wicket for the whole season or donate second hand sports equipment to our sport4kids campaign.
Equipment donations can be delivered to the UCT cricket clubhouse.

Story
Who are we?
sport4kids (Pty) Ltd is a Sec 21 non-profit Charity (Reg number: 2006/016141/08). Our Directors are Andrew Russell, David and Jenny MacGregor.
Why did we start sport4kids?
Children need hope. They need self-esteem and they need to have fun.
Children need inspiration and they need to be healthy.
Children need to get off the streets, out of bad habits and into sports.
Most of our children have no sports kit.
What do we do?
We provide sports kit, equipment, transport and coaching to children who need it. We do that by raising funds and buying kit, or by collecting second-hand kit, and distributing it to schools, clubs and individuals who need it the most and who will use it properly.
We hold fund raisers and receive donations from people who share our vision for making a sporting difference in the lives of those less fortunate than us.
All donations, whether money or kit, no matter how big or small, are much needed and will be put to good use. When you see a kid who has never had his own soccer ball, get given one – we know we are making a difference – no matter how small it may seem.
